United Way to Honor Real Estate Industry May 10

Seven nominees in two categories are finalists for Impact Award

United Way of Northern New Jersey will celebrate its 25-year partnership with the commercial real estate industry at its United Way Legacy Event on May 10 at The Meadow Wood in Randolph. Hosted by the United Way Commercial Real Estate Network, the annual event brings together hundreds of industry professionals to network and honor commercial real estate projects.

The event will feature seven project finalists for United Way’s Impact Award, with winners announced in two categories. Both a commercial real estate project and an industrial real estate project that had the most positive impact in the region in the past year will be recognized. Finalists are chosen by the United Way Commercial Real Estate Network, a group of industry executives who partner with United Way for its largest annual fundraiser.

This year’s commercial project finalists are:

  • Kenvue World Headquarters, 1 Kenvue Way, Summit

  • M Station, 100 & 110 Morris Street, Morristown

  • McKinsey & Company, 110 Edison Place, Newark

  • Newark Strong, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark

This year’s industrial project finalists are:

  • CenterPoint at Linden, 1501 W. Edgar Road, Linden

  • Central 9 Logistics Park, Jake Brown Road, Old Bridge

  • Prospect Plains Commerce Center, 258 Prospect Plains Road, Cranbury

In honor of the event’s 25th anniversary, a new event format will be debuted, and attendees will have more time to network. The event will also see the United Way Commercial Real Estate Network receive the United Way Spirit of Philanthropy Award. The award honors an individual or group from the commercial real estate industry whose actions reflect the values of United Way. For 25 years, committee members have given of their time and resources to help grow the event into United Way’s largest fundraiser and a must-attend event for industry leaders.

United Way’s annual networking and fundraising event attracts leading industry professionals. Since 2000, the commercial real estate industry has helped raise more than $4.5 million for United Way. This year’s Gold Sponsor is Turner Construction Company and Unispace is the event’s Welcome Reception Sponsor.

Along with recognizing the industry’s outstanding achievements, the event also raises critical funds for United Way’s work across the region to improve life for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) and households in poverty. Despite working hard, ALICE essential workers live paycheck to paycheck.
