United Way Honey Open Sponsorships, Tickets Available

Golfers enjoying United Way Honey Open 2022.

Join over 100 philanthropic women leaders on the green at United Way Honey Open, a unique golf experience benefitting ALICE families living paycheck to paycheck. The golf outing takes place Thursday, June 6, 2024, 2:00 PM at Crystal Springs Resort, Cascades Golf Club.

Golfers will have the opportunity to either golf nine holes or join a beginner clinic, network with other philanthropic women leaders, and enjoy an early dinner among the serene Appalachian Mountains. The reception also includes a raffle with prizes like luxury tickets to Cirque du Soleil and more.

New this year, supporters will also have the chance to join the exclusive Swing & Sip as a combo ticket. This intimate gathering, happening July 11, 2024, will feature tips from a golf pro, three holes of golf, award-winning wine, and hors d'oeuvres.

Honey Open was established in 1977 by Sussex County philanthropist and golf enthusiast Helen “Honey” Ackerman who believed women and children should have access to resources to build better lives. The last outing, held in 2022, raised over $53,000.

United Way Honey Open is hosted by Women United, a group of changemakers dedicated to improving life for ALICE families through fundraising, networking, and advocacy.

Thank you to gold sponsor Chubb Insurance Company, and silver sponsors Fulton Bank and Thorlabs, Inc., for their support in making this event possible.

MEET ALICE

ALICE   is an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, and represents the growing number of families who are unable to afford the basics of housing, food, child care, health care, technology, and transportation. These workers often struggle to keep their own households from financial ruin, while keeping our local economies running.
