The Premier Networking Event

Join us for the 18th annual United Way Commercial Real Estate Network Legacy Luncheon. This premier event connects you to honorary guests and the state's leading commercial real estate professionals, providing unparalleled opportunities for networking while showcasing the industry’s commitment to the long-term health of our community.

The Legacy Luncheon helps United Way of Northern New Jersey invest in the backbone of New Jersey's workforce – ALICE®. This stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed and represents the one-quarter of our state's households who, despite working, are unable to afford basic necessities. United Way works to remove the barriers keeping ALICE children and families from reaching their potential, focused on tackling the underlying causes of financial instability - the lack of a quality education, insufficient income, and poor health.

2017 Impact Award

Each year the Network selects one team within the commercial real estate industry for the United Way Impact Award, recognizing work on a development project, sale, lease, or other real estate transaction that is considered to have had the most positive impact in our region that year. We will honor this year's Impact Award winner at the Legacy Luncheon.

We are proud to announce the 2017 finalists:

• 56 Livingston Avenue, Roseland
• Allergan Headquarters
• Daiichi Sankyo, USA

Keynote Speaker

Regina Hartley, vice president of human resources for UPS Information Technology, makes human connections with employees immersed in technology. Throughout her career - working in talent acquisition, succession planning, learning and development, employee relations, and communications - Ms. Hartley has seen how, given the opportunity, people with passion and purpose will astound you.

Her TED talk, “Why the best hire might not have the perfect resume,” has been viewed nearly 3 million times and has started a global conversation about the merits of hiring “scrappers”- people who have overcome adversity.

Ms. Hartley earned a BA in Political Science from SUNY Binghamton and a MA in Corporate and Organizational Communication from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She holds several professional certifications, including Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and SHRM-SCP.

A strong evangelist for giving back and “paying it forward,” Ms. Hartley is Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Independent College Fund of New Jersey; a Trustee of the Ramsey, NJ Public Education Foundation; and a member of the United Way of Bergen County’s Women United in Philanthropy giving circle; and coaches a CYO boys' basketball team.
